A striking 1930s French Art Deco lamp by Degué, featuring a signed art glass shade in glowing amber-orange and smoky brown tones, supported by sculptural dark metalwork.

The shade bears the Degué signature, the name used by French glassmaker David Guéron, whose decorative glass lighting became particularly associated with the French Art Deco period. The richly colored glass creates a beautifully warm effect, while the dark architectural metal base provides a dramatic contrast.

Its wonderfully decorative construction includes curled side supports, stylized foliage through the central stem and a textured circular foot. The result feels distinctly interwar: theatrical, sophisticated and slightly mysterious.

A beautiful collector's lighting piece that works equally well on a bedside table, console, writing desk or within an eclectic interior.
