The elongated scalloped body, twin handles, and unglazed matte cream finish reveal the influence of the sculptural forms popularised during the Constance Spry floral design movement. Fulham Pottery was known to produce vessels for Spry’s school, and many pieces from this era exhibit the same dramatic silhouettes intended for her pioneering asymmetric arrangements.
