Condition:
Lovely vintage condition. The turned wood base is smooth and well-crafted.
The lid has a small natural imperfection on the very top of the knob, a tiny rough, hollowed spot visible in the photos. This appears to be part of the original turning process or a natural knot in the wood, not damage.

It does not affect function in any way, and actually adds to the piece’s wabi-sabi charm, the beauty of subtle flaws and handmade character.
No cracks, no structural issues. Lid fits securely.

This is a hand-turned wooden lidded pot with a contrasting dark lid finish and a natural drip effect around the edge. The small imperfection on the top confirms it was made by hand on a lathe, where variations in knots and grain are expected and valued.
