A spectacular large-scale 1980s Murano glass mirrored tray, combining twisted clear glass, shimmering gold inclusions, elaborate gilt mounts and a romantic etched scene.

The substantial mirror is decorated with a charming European pastoral composition depicting an elegantly dressed couple walking through a garden landscape, surrounded by trees and architectural details. The delicate monochrome imagery creates an almost storybook quality against the reflective surface.

Its border is formed from thick, beautifully twisted Murano glass with scattered gold detailing that catches the light throughout. At either end, elaborate gold-tone handles feature sculptural scrollwork, acanthus-inspired foliage and dramatic ornamental flourishes, giving the piece its wonderfully decadent Italian character.

The unusually generous 23-inch scale makes this particularly impressive when displayed. It could be used across a dressing table for perfume bottles and jewelry, styled on a cocktail cabinet, used as a centerpiece on a console, or displayed as a decorative object in its own right.
